Haiti is suffering from the terrible devastation of the earthquake that hit them on January 12, which registered 7.0 on the richter scale. An aftershock of 6.0 hit them just hours later. Many people were injured and the death toll is in the hundreds of thousands. The earthquake struck near Port au Prince one of Haiti's largest cities where the population is approximately one million. This blog is going to be dedicated to following the Haitian people and those that are trying to aid them in the recovery of this horrible and tragic natural disaster that has struck them.
