Authorities in Haiti have not delivered on their promise to provide shelter for displaced victims of the earthquake. Aid groups have supplies to build roughly 140,000 shelters but have no land to build upon. There's been a meeting with some of the most prominant landowners in Haiti, but nothing has been disclosed about the discussion. There are 600,000 people living in tents and shelters with sewage and trash building up. To make matters worse Haiti's rainy season is fast-approaching; heavy rainfal usually starts at the beginning of April. This could mean further devastation for those already suffering in Haiti.
